we should pick him up then trade dockery... he's worth 7 first round picks and a 4th i've heard.

I thought the transition tag was for all intents and purposes as dead as the dodo. Is this more last capped year mayhem?

i don't get why people are so low on dockery. I thought he did a good job on the line last year. Plus he's been healthy his whole career. he needs some improvement, but under buges he's been steadily improving year to year. Next year he should be better.

I think the last team to use the Transition tag was the Bengals with Takeo Spikes. That was the first year Lewis was the coach.

cause he'll probably never be more than average. He's big and slow.

dockery can't pull at all.but with hutchison we could pull in either direction dockery's fine but hutchison is much better.

I totally think Dockery will be better than average. And I think he had a very respectable year - not Pro-Bowl caliber, but very solid. In fact, Buges has said on more than one occasion that he feels of all the lineman Doc has the most potential.

he has the most potential cause he's the one that's producing the least. He'll never be fast and always suck at pulling because of it. he's been around 3 years now and still hasn't gone above average at any time.

and again buges and gibbs talk up EVERYONE, they talked up A Brown, talked up R Royal, talked up T Jacobs... see a pattern?

anyway, we can't afford hutch, so that's dead. though we can easily draft someone bigger and faster than doc who can take his time to learn since doc isn't terrible.

Upgrading at LG would be nice but it's a luxury I doubt we could afford.

Dockery is pretty solid and still has room for improvement. I definitely have no problem with him coming back as the starter.
