CBs depend a lot on what the teams ahead of the skins need (size, speed, upside etc)... if we're lucky and jonathan joseph falls, he'd be a good pick... in the 3rd will blackmon would be good (his technique is off, but we don't need a starter right away and he's a good WR to boot). In the 5th i think gerrick mcphearson (MD) would be a steal, he's easily the fastest CB in the draft (JJ and hill are 2nd and 3rd fastest).

best pass rushers are both OLB/DE 260lb guys in lawson and mcclover (I don't think we'll have a shot at hali or williams which are easily the most well rounded DEs).

Heres my draft board (in no particular order. Based on who might slip to the Redskins spot. Obviously a guy like Michael Huff or D'B Fergusion would be near the top if all prospects were included. Not all of these are guys I'd consider with our first pick)

TE 5 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Anthony Fasano (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1714083) JR6-5/255/- Notre Dame (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127391) Verona, NJ (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=84)

OT 8 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Andrew Whitworth (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1911910) SR6-7/320/- LSU (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127339) West Monroe, LA (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=71)

OLB (should be DE)14http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifElvis Dumervil (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1793592)SR6-0/256/-Louisville (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127335)Miami, FL (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=62)

(How hes falling to the 3rd round is beyond me. This is the type of guy that should be a Redskin. Tons of Football talent, chip on his shoulder, sprikle in a little Greg Williams and Greg Blache magic and you might have something special. Reminds me a little of T. Suggs except hes going to have to wait a lot longer)

OG 1 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Max Jean-Gilles (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1979926) SR6-4/340/- Georgia (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127294) North Miami Beach, FL (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=62)

S 11 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Greg Blue (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1979857) SR6-2/214/- Georgia (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127294) College Park, GA (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=63)

(Another underrated guy IMO. A poor mans Thomas Davis, only smaller by about 20 pounds. Can you imagine the fear that would be struck into all the premadona Wideouts going against the Skins with Taylor on one side and Blue on the other. On a side note: I am not a Bulldog fan.)

CB (PR) 9 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Devin Hester (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1832026) JR5-11/185/4.35 Miami (Fl) (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127351) Riviera Beach, FL (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=62)

(one word. Playmaker. Reminds me of Rascoe Paris except for the fact that he will play defense. Plus we might have to stick with Redskin tradition. Find a school in Florida and acquire all its players (If you don't get the joke then you probably shouldn't be here. Otherwise see Steve Spurrier and Shane Mathews) Also reminds me of Chris Gamble)

RB 6 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Brian Calhoun (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1801540) JR5-10/203/- Wisconsin (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127513) Oak Creek, WI (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=102)

RB 11 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Leon Washington (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=2061631)SR5-9/199/-Florida State (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127286) Jacksonville, FL (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=62)

(how much can we rely on Ladel Betts if God forbid you know what happens. Wouldn't mind these guys in the 3rd round)

WR5 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Hank Baskett (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=2099404) SR6-4/215/- New Mexico (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127375) Clovis, NM (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=85)

WR6http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifMartin Nance (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=2161497)SR6-5/215/-Miami (Oh) (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127539)Maryland Heights, MO (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=77)

(Men among boys in terms of size. Imagine Coley left and one of these guys running to the right with Moss doing a route with 11 cuts over the middle in 2 seconds flat WHO DO YOU COVER HOTSHOT? WHO DO YOU COVER?)

WR9 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Derek Hagan (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1852212) SR6-2/202/- Arizona State (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127212) Palmdale, CA (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=57)

WR16 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Skyler Green (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1907736) SR5-9/189/- LSU (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127339) Marrero, LA (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=71)

(wouldnt mind these guys if they fall to the 3rd round)

WR4 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Sinorice Moss (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1834172) SR5-8/185/4.33 Miami (Fl) (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127351) Miami, FL (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=62)

(personally don't like the idea of picking him but you know the Redskins draft party will go nuts if they do)

QB 13 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Bruce Gradkowsk i (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1902171)SR6-2/210/- Toledo (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127472) Pittsburgh, PA (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=91)

(if hes available on day 2, why not?)

QB (S, WR)11 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Michael Robinson (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1719167) SR6-2/217/- Penn State (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127402) Richmond, VA (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=99)

(the guys on the forum are doing a good job of selling this guy to me. Plus hes homegrown. This guy is on my top 5 list for guys we could pick)

OG3 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Charles Spencer (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=2010368) SR6-5/320/- Pittsburgh (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127405) Pawling, NY (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=87)

(I think some guys named Grim and May were from Pitt. Has good technique and can get better working with the boss dirtbag. Also versitle, which should be essential for every team assembling depth in a cap crisis)

OT9 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Taitusi Lutui (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=2003172) SR6-6/365/- USC (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127488) Mesa, AZ (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=56)

(Project but versitle and coachable. Also played for a winner)

OG6 http://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gifhttp://media.scout.com/media/site_logo/rating.gif Rob Sims (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8&c=1&yr=2006&nid=1952559) SR6-4/310/- Ohio State (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&csid=127394) Macedonia, OH (http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=9&c=12&yr=2006&nid=83&lnid=124&rc=4&sid=88)

(Same deal as all the other OL on my board. Only this guy has exceptional footwork)

There now you know who I'm looking at.

spencer actually needs some technique work since he's only played OG for two years (spent 2 years at DT), but probably the most althetic guard in the draft AND i think he's close to 340lbs (making him one of the biggest). Jean-Gilles is a better player right now, but doesn't have the speed (ie upside) of spencer... and gibbs LOVES pulling guards.

I don't think we'll have a shsot at moss, i wouldn't touch hagan (50/50 waiting to happen) and i'm not big on green... nance and lee would be alright, but don't ever expect a WR to come in and do anything his first year. moss might, hass or orr have an outside shot i guess...

I absolutely wouldn't waste a pick on an RB though. betts is fine and rock/nemo should be fine. in the 3rd there's still situational pass rushers, CBs and TEs that could get significant first year playing time compared to a #4 RB (manny white is alo a natural RB).

a late cheap QB wouldn't be a bad idea either... I originally thought we could get whitehurst (when he was projected as a 5th round pick, seems like he could have c. frye type production), his good workouts may totally change that though.

Man if Charlie got drafted by the Skins that would be crazy. I went to the same high school as Whitehurst during his senior year (my sophmore) and got to play with him for half a season. He was actually pretty quiet, but I heard he got pretty loud after he got to Clemson.

i think whitehurst is the late round qb this year that could be a low tier starter. So many people are hyping up culter, but what i've seen of him hasn't been very impressive :/ I definately don't buy the he might be the best pro crap.

I didn't know that impression was floating around. Personally I think that Leinart and Young are going to have stellar careers. I also believe in Cutler but I can also easily see his career going down the drain.

Regarding the drafting of a wide receiver...i wouldnt be against it...in say the 3rd round for depth. I believe that we would be more likely to make out well by drafting a tight end...cause this draft is apparently really deep at the tight end position...however i guess a future prospect at wide receiver wouldnt be too bad.

With regard to what we have already, I dont understand why so many people think that we should cut Taylor Jacobs. I understand that he hasnt done shit yet for the skins. But he has also had injury problems etc... Frankly i think considering that the coaches have said he has enormous potential that we should hold on to him. I dont think we are paying him all that much, and we could even bring in others to compete. I mean if you keep him, and he continues to suck...fine you wasted a fourth or fifth wide receiver spot on a bust....big deal. Or if he's really bad you could even cut him in preseason. But if you cut him...and he finally gets healthy, and realizes his potential the skins could really lose out.

I say hold onto him...and let him compete for a job. I dont think we really have much to lose by keeping him. Even though we should still go out and look for someone else...a la koren robinson...who could give us production and would come relatviely cheap... I guess i feel this way cause its not like jacobs is a player like lavar who would eat up a huge amount of the skins cap space. He is getting paid a reasonable salary...still on his rookie contract. So hey...lets just see what the kid has before cutting him lose, since cutting him wouldnt do much for us anyway.

I think we could pick up a quality WR late.....Brandon Marshall from UCF is not getting much love and I don't even know if he was invited to the combine but this man could be a steal in the late rounds. He started playing WR and then was moved to saftey his Jr. year and lead the team in tackles, then moved back to WR his Sr. year and had a 1000 yard season. He has great size and could be nasty in the red zone.
