Is it just me?

Why does just about every other highlight involve good plays happening against the Redskins or the Raiders? And to make matters worse if my theory is true than the Raiders have one up on us thanks to that frickin run by Marcus Allen in the Super Bowl for 74 yards (which Willie Parker broke the record for with his 75 yard run so maybe we'll see a little less of that play). Anyway here are a few things I've observed. Keep in mind I don't live in the DC/Baltimore area anymore so Redskins coverage for me is limited to the Net and National TV.

- LT had a great year especially in that Giants game where he caught, threw, and ran for a TD. But do you see the highlights from that game? No, you see him running wild against the Redskins when all these shows look back on the season.

- The Redskins won 3 frickin Super Bowls and accomplished record feats some weird kind of record in all three of them( for example first team to comeback after down by more than 7 points and most points scored in a Quarter). But what Super Bowl highlights do you see? The Marcus Allen run and the Dolphins celebrating there perfect season besides the kickers blooper.

- FSN's NFL preview show did a Highlight film of the years best plays (with footage from all the networks) and somehow the Moss catch was left out. To make matters worse there were a lot of Redskin highlights but all of them were just shots of the players basically dancing or streching. The other highlights with action involved the Redskins being scored on

- The Redskins also had a lot of great close games, but before the Skins made the playoffs they never got to be part of NFL Networks game of the Week when they won (Seahawks, Cowboys, Bears, etc). However they did make the Charger game the Game of the Week.

- In the greatest MNF plays of all time how the hell did the Santana Moss Cowboy comeback not even crack the list?

I know I have more examples but they're either so specific or lost somewhere in my hollow head that I can't list them at the moment. Nevertheless has anyone else noticed this or am I just paranoid?

Honestly I think before next season you'll see analysts stroking the Skins and Gibbs. People will be calling them to finish in the playoffs. They were all wrong last season, they don't wanna be wrong again. Moss catches in Dallas game shoulda been #1 for MNF. What was the winner? Cause I swear I'll remember that game for the rest of my life!

Seiously people. When have the skins really given any highlights. they have not had a winning season(until last season) since 1999. Notice all the highlights are from teams that consistently win. Do we see highlights w/ the Lions, texans, 49ers, nope. we see NE, Philly, Indy. when we win on a consistant basis, we will be in all the highlights too. Our D should have been in alot of them the last couple of years, but losing teams are not what sells the league, and we dont have a Brett Farve or (the most overrated player in NFL history) Mike Vick to sell to the fans. Portis may be one of those guys in a couple of years, maybe Campbell, Moss. they guy we use to use to get the fans attracted to the Redskins was taken out of the media, Mr LaVar. We win, we will be seen on TV, its that simple.

Dirtbag359:

You are just paranoid. That doesn't mean that folks out there don't have a secret hatred or vendetta for the Redskins. But with this "evidence" that you offer, I'd have to conclude that you are just paranoid.

You can get help for that, you know...

This game was left out because the world did not want it to happen...Dallas had the stage set as they entered the tripplets into their Hall of Fame and they pretty much used us as a homecomming opponent. If you ask me both of the Dallas wins should have made national headlines but they didn't for the simmple fact that they are Americas team, so they tend to spare them the embarassment.

I know this may seem strange but we are actually the bad guys (no one likes our owner and the way he has been running the franchise in recent years); this is fine with me... we'll just have to be bad all the way to the Super Bowl.

I have noticed the same thing!!!! I understand that the consistent winners will always grab the highlights but how come 80% of those highlights show the Skins as the team getting burned? Don't these teams score on other teams or what?

HAHAHAHA!!!!! That's a complaint I've had for nearly the last 10 years. The worst part is the number of players who've had career games against the Redskins when otherwise no one would ever even know their name. So aside from the fact that the Skins get poor performances replayed, then they live in infamy when some no-namer has a stroke of luck. Even if the Skins win, you can guarantee the way the media portrays it, it will appear on short news blurbs as the Redskins just squeaked out a win and didn't otherwise deserve to win. It makes me ill.
