Most Hated...

Is it me or does the whole world have something against the Redskins...For starters no one wanted us in the playoffs and all season long we weren't even considered a playoff contender, even after our 3-0 start. We beat the best of them and two guys set club records, yet everyone would rather talk about teams that didn't even make the playoffs.

We are definitely outcast...After we embarrassed "Americas Team", no one wanted to mention how good we looked and rather we had a shot at going deep into the playoffs; after all we did beat the most overrated team in the league (the Seahawks).

To make matters worse we always have minimal ProBowlers, Art Monk and Grimm are snubbed again, the Colts general manager (Bill Polian) goes out of his way to say that Reggie Wayne won't become a Redskin, and now the league is considering placing a salary cap on coach’s salaries. It seems as if the league is changing its rules to ensure that we don't exceed.

I think the world is just jealous of us...after all we are the wealthiest team in sports and we can almost do anything that we'd like when it comes to expenses. Teams hold a grudge against us because after being a loosing team in recent years we still manage to bring in the most income every season, they wish they had fans that support their teams as much as we do.

If you can't beat us, you might as well join us. To hell with all the HATERS!!!

yes, the media hates us, probably because they still hate dan snyder. its annoying as shit. the only ppl that like us are guys like schlereth and theisman, cuz they have played for gibbs. guess we just have to win a super bowl to shut the otehrs up

yea, i think mr. snyder is a big part of the reason we are hated but i have recently heard multiple "media" people say that dan snyder is becoming worthy of getting credit now because of the hireing of gibbs and letting gibbs pretty much run the show when it comes to getting players and getting coaches.

Maybe much of their hating on us has to do with our hating on them. We spend too much time worrying about what the Media thinks of us. To "Hell" with the Media, all we have to do is keep doing what we're doing (WINNING) and let them keep doing what they're doing (NOTHING) and we'll be just fine.

You know, I'm sick of hearing complaints about Snyder. Regardless of what he looks like or how "puckered" he appears to be in his own fanatical way - he is damn near the best owner in the league for one simple reason: He does his job. An owner’s job is to hire the best coach possible and to bankroll the team. From a business standpoint, there really is no other arena where millionaires are expected to hand out money by the fist full all just to sit back and watch what their money created without being more directly involved. Personally, I can’t fault a guy who is doing exactly what he should, and I respect him more when I see him going bananas in the owner’s box each time we score. He is a fan with a passionate heart. Notwithstanding the bankroll - he is us, and we both bleed burgundy and gold regardless if his game day attire is worth more than my entire wardrobe.

Despite the media, Snyder is doing his job by getting Gibbs and the rest of the coaching staff. As obvious by the complete turn-around in the last two years, both Snyder and Gibbs are both doing their jobs very well. The sad part is, and something I don’t want to casually admit because I'm not a blind-Homer Redskins fan, is that there is a media bias. Just this week the NFL commissioner said he was looking into possibly having a salary cap of sorts for the coaching staff now that the Redskins clearly have a deep and expense roster of professional minds. Honestly, it’s just one more thing. With Grimm and Monk getting passed over again – and crackheads like Michael Ervin getting more lip service for the HOF, it’s disgraceful. It’s been a rough week for Redskins fans, but in time this too shall pass.

In the end, smart and innovative teams will always find a way to win no matter if the league changes rules each and every week. We've been there in the past with one set of rules, found our way back with another, and seem to be once again pushing towards the top of the league. With good fans, a history of perseverance, sound ownership, and players with heart – this team will continue to be a success even if it has to weather a few storms. It’s just a matter of time before the Skins will once again take the Lombardi trophy to Redskins Park and that will make the win and the path less taken all the more sweet.

Now that I’m stepping off my soapbox, I hope the Seahawks get beat today for no other reason then to wipe the smug look off of Hasselbeck’s cue ball head.

While I believe Snyder in the past two years is becoming and owner the NFL is more comfortable with, you have to admit in the past he was a bit brash and ticked off the wrong people. Tags actually is starting to like Snyder, he put him on somekind of marketing board for the NFL. He said Danny is one of the rich owners willing to pay more revenue to other teams(which I think he should NOT) Danny is finally getting the picture. Write the checks, thats it. Let the coaches coach, and the football guys make the decisions. Of course Danny isn't going to mess with his boyhood idle. Joe would walk if tried to pull the stuff he has w/ previous coaches. I do believe the owners of alot of the NFL franchises are a bit jelous of what Danny does, financially with the Redskins. he brings in about 300 millions a year, with 2 winning season in the past 7 years. We are the richest franchise in ALL of sports. The current owners are the old dudes from years gone by. they think Danny is a child and cant believe a guy that 36 or 37 has 800 million to buy the team and the stadium. So jelousy plays a big part in how we get treated. The Reggie Wayne thing shows exactly how owners or personel people feel when there best player becomes a FA. Oh shit, here comes the Redskins. I think it a bit classless for a GM to say that. It basically sounds like they are keeping him so we dont get him, not that they really want him. Now, I know thats not true, but some people may really see it that way. As long as Danny stays in box, and writes the checks we will gain some respect each year. It will be interesting to see how he acts once Joe leaves after next year.

Have you ever heard of Paul Allen? He can "buy and sell" Snyder with his petty cash! take a TOTAL LOSS! and never miss a beat!
