I could understadn if this guy was simply a hard ass about who to vote in. But he seems like a two bit whore who'll let anyone have a go. Curtis Martin? Harry Carson? Tedy Bruschi? He actually thinks these people deserve to be in the hall! And not Monk? That makes no sense whatsoever. Clearly he is both misguided and must have a problem with Monk. What a sad sack of poo this guy is.
I too know NOT ONE PERSON who thinks that Monk not only should be in the hall but that he is also being royally shafted not having been a first balloter. This seriously one of the most perplexing things in sports today to me. How anyone can think he doesn't deserve to be in is BEYOND beyond me.

Curtis Martin is a HOFer.

Curtis Martin is a HOFer.

I'd have to disagree on that one. Martin has been solid, dependable, and a workhorse, but to say that his career warrants a guaranteed Hall of Fame spot is a little much, in my opinion.

Some guys are great football players who are on the cusp of the Hall, but fall just short. Curtis Martin is exactly that type of player to me.

Curtis Martin and Art monk same people they both fly under the radar. Stats dont lie, but stupid ass writers who know nothing more then what they want to eat are complete dumbasses. Idiot probably thinks marvin harrison doesn't deserve it because he doesn't like to be in the spotlight.

No. He probably ranks just a bit higher than Martin, if for no other reason than his numbers which are going to finish in the Top Five.

To me, the criteria for establishing a player's spot in the HOF is consistent domination of opponents for several years. Art Monk at many times dominated the game. He held the single season reception record for many years, at a time when 100 or more receptions was unheard of.

If I had a vote, neither Martin nor Bettis would get into the Hall.

I just wondered if you thought maybe two SB appearances, including a possible ring this Sunday, would put Bettis over the top. I'm sort of torn on it.

Just like I'm torn about whether guys like Andre Reed, Henry Ellard, and Jimmy Smith should also join.

I'm I missing something or does Martin (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/MartCu00.htm) have better numbers than Bettis (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/BettJe00.htm)?
