It's probably just the idea of having core players. You can't really create a list if your Joe. But Im not Joe, so I will analyze your list.
Two flaws. Lavar is not a core player. Core players are not regularly in trouble with the coaches. And we don't often have too quantify the value of a core player. And Lavar makes to much for what he provides. Atleast, that's the argument. 3 years ago, he was the fan's core player. But not the coaches. And his situation has not improved.
And I don't know that Casey Rabach after one season is a "core" player. Just because he doesnt freak out every time Buge's uses the f*** word.
I agree with the others entirely. I would rather have core coaches though. Ya know. Guys you can count on to stick it out for a decade or two.

Core players are not necessarily the stars. I would include Thrash and Cartwright based on past Gibbs statements.

(its not because the fans liked him three years ago) I agree with core coaches but half of our will be dead in a decade or two.

Two words....Ethan Albright
Tell me. Have you ever seen a thread here complaining about Albright? No. Why? Because he does his job and he does it well.

I second that. He's been perfect for five years. He's a cyborg. I was going to give him a shout-out during the playoff run but was afraid I would put the whammy on him. In fact, his low-profile appraoch has worked so well, I think we should try to avoid bringing him up unless it is absolutely necessary.
