Betts is talented but often injured, I don't see him commanding much trade value at all.

I don't see us getting rid of Betts, he's a valuable backup when healthy.

Nemo might make Rock expendable though.

yea, i agree with you. i was just thinking of players to possibly trade in order to pick up some draft picks, seeing as how the skins don't have a first rounder this draft. i picked betts because of those reasons you pionted out, he is a pretty good back (reason for another team to want him) but he is often injured (reason for the skins to trade him). i think rock could take his place and be the #2 rb with nemo moving up and this new guy possibly going to the practice squad but like i was trying to tell dumb a...."oops", i mean, grim21reaper this is only one of many possible scenarios.

Why don't you think about things that you have control over, such as whether they want paper or plastic.

Chill fellas. No need to name-call over "draft scenarios".

Just found this link. This guy looks like a pretty good pick up. Watch his CFL highlights. I realize it's not the NFL, but just watch the power and speed this kid has. Give him some time during the mini camps and training camp I'll bet this kid makes the team. He seems to have very good hands and a quick burst. Preseason will be a good measuring stick. Just check out the link and decide for yourself.

Will the NFL Give Lumsden a Chance?
He's a great package of size, speed and running ability, comparable to any running back who is trying to be drafted by the NFL this year. But, he played in Canada, and he's white, so what will become of Jesse Lumsden? Will the NFL ignore his talent, as it does all other white running backs?

A record breaker in Canada, the 6'2 1/2" 226 pound Lumsden was not invited to the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. Instead he trained very hard in Arizona and recently worked out privately for several teams, including Indianapolis, St. Louis, Carolina and Seattle. Published reports from Canada, while not divulging details of the workout, indicate that Lumsden ran in the 4.45 to 4.50 range in the 40 yard dash. If so, that would give him a combination of size and speed comparable to the best black running backs eligible for the draft this year.

But while the black running backs with such talent will go in the first round, will Lumsden be drafted at all? The unwritten rule in the racially segregated NFL is that whites are only capable of blocking, kicking and throwing, no matter how much athletic talent and ability they may have for other positions. Luke Staley, the 2001 Doak Walker Award winner as the college football's best running back, has been out of the NFL for two years as not a single team would sign him even as a backup. We'll find out soon if Lumsden is to have the same fate.

Lumsden's dad was a star back in the early 80s in the CFL. I believe he won a couple of Grey Cups with Warren Moon in Edmonton.

Jesse was offered a full scholarship to play at Wake Forest, but turned it down to stay in Canada. Maybe he'll surprise us

I was impressed with his speed, thats about it,his tackle breaking ability was so-so,the college game wasnt impressive at all, especially considering his team was up big and they were still stopping him,I think he only had 1 td,maybe 2 in all of his highlights, and thats not good when his website would only be showing his best runs, but the skins have watched more film on him then i have and they should be a better evaluator of talent,i hope the kid makes it
