I'm going to have to agree with you there. A lot of people are proud of their roots, as am I. However, I feel that if you LIVE in this country and this country is what supports you, then you are obligated to support it.

How dare A-Rod keep changing his mind about whether he plays or who he plays for! Here I thought he might win over the A-Rod and Yankee haters.

I'm all 4 honoring your heritage, but when it comes down to representing the country you were born and raised in and in which you make an extremely comfortable living and your parents or parents' parents homeland, the choice should be pretty easy or atleast for me personally it would be.

We may not know everything there is to know about that. Maybe he wasn't brought up to think of himself as an American. He said he didn't want to disrepect either sides of his heritage. Well, if you really look at it, there's only one side to his heritage.
And why does he take the brunt of this? Piazza is playing for Italy. Where's the hate for him? I'm pretty sure he was born and raised here too. As for people making their living here, well, that would be every major leaguer, so that doesn't really apply.
I'm not trying to start an arguement, I think the whole A Rod thing was a circus, but I think we don't know everything there is to know about it.

I'm a big baseball fan, yet for some reason I haven't been getting excited at all about this World Baseball Classic.
I'm probably the only person though who's excited about the Winter Olympics.

I know alot of you guys won't agree with me here, but the World Baseball Classic won't be same without Cuba. I really think they should be allowed to play. Just my opinion.

I think Cuba should be allowed to play. They always whipped the O's ass...lol. But seriously, they should be involved.
