I'm going to have to agree with the Tuna on this one ("You are what you are"), and until next season we are the sixth seed in the NFC.

I recall him saying that we have a Super Bowl calibure defense, and now we never belonged in the Playoffs. Someone needs to make up their mind.

Wasn't it "You are what you win"? In which case, we're the best team in the NFC East, even if we didn't get the conference championship.

Did anyone hear what happened this morning on ESPN radio? Sean Salisbury said that the Washington Redskins "had no business what so ever in the play-offs".

Even after being 5-6 and winning out the season, he was just trashing the Redskins.

How many times was Sean Salisbury playing in the playoffs? He is an idiot who has no business being an NFL analyst.

Sean Salisbury is one of the worst commentators on TV and I would say that even if he was praising the Redskins. The guy was a bad backup quarterback and he just gets on there and does a bunch of macho posturing trying to compensate of his many deficiencies. I have never heard anyone who knows anything about the NFL say a single good thing about Salisbury and whenever his name comes up on Sirius John Riggins just kind of chuckles knowingly. The guy is a half-wit and saying the Skins didn't deserve to be in the Playoffs just demonstrates the fact that he probably didn't watch a single game this season...just tune him out next time he comes on...and get Sirus so you don't have to listen to the garbage on ESPN Radio... salisbury is a douche -bag .i wouldnt have minded the sattilite feed(with riggins) if it wasn't a FULL PLAY BEHIND the cable T.V. feed. did any one else have the same problem ???we swept Dallas :point: .we swept the eagles,we beat the giants in a great revenge game.what a great great year...........:woot: and we got revenge on tampa -bay:spank: AND WE WITNESSED SOME OF THE BEST WIDE RECIEVING EVER WITH SANTA MOSS:point:

What Sean Salisbury actually said was that we didn't have the offense to compete in the playoffs. Not that the team didn't belong there, but we didn't have the offense to compete.

That almost makes sense, until you consider it's defense that won the game for Seattle. It was defense that stopped the Patriots. And guess who won the game for the Steelers, against the most unstoppable offense in the history of the cosmos? Oh right, it was defense.

And then there was the Bears-Panthers game, which was supposed to be a low-scoring defensive struggle to begin with, but the Bears vaunted defense crumbled.

Of course it's not surprising that a has-been who really never was would be talking about offense instead of defense. He never figured out how to read a defense anyway.

I actually have to point out that I was referring to what he said on Sportscenter. I can't vouch for what he said on ESPN Radio, cause I didn't hear it, sorry for the confusion, I didn't pay enough attention to the first post.

What I find so interesting with salisbury is when Dennis Green was hired as a head coach in Arizona he was asked to come aboard as a QB coach. He later turned it down to stay with ESPN and do his normal blah from his high horse that he sits on. His stats speak for them self that was well talked about on here. He beats up on Mark Clayton because thats the only one he can talk trash to. Im a new customer with Direct TV and have enjoyed the NFL network. No one likes the skins and there is only one reason thats Dan Snyder. People hated us as a team because we won. I want to know why nobody is giving Tony Dungy greif. He couldn't win in Tampa and he will never win in INDY!

Not trying to be a hard ass but his team never plays hard when it matters. I think Kower is the same type of coach. He will get there but never win
