I just heard on the radio that the Skins odds of winning the Super Bowl are 100-1. I love the lack of respect. Granted it is definitely a long shot, but I love the fact that no one is even thinking twice about us this weekend. The season is already a success b/c we were predicted to go 4-12, but if we can win this weekend I think it would be considered a huge success. What do you guys think? (Let it be known that I definitely want to win the Super Bowl)

Place your bets people!! It was lower 3 weeks ago before we played the giants. Stupid odds makers. I missed it when we were 150-1. I'll drop a nice 50 on it. $5000!! wooo.

well was it an exagerated 100-1? like ha haa they have a 1 in a 100 chance to win?

Damn and I only got 30 to 1 odds. Damn I bet to early(August). I really do like our chances, but I really do not like our inconsistant Offense. If Cooley can become a decent part of our Offense tomorrow on the road in Seattle, we have an excellent chance of Portis and Moss getting some big plays in. Cooley is my gamebreaker.

I think this year is already what most of us hoped for, so it's already been a huge success.

With that being said, I still want us to go the Super Bowl badder hell.

I agree..simply finishing 10-6 (with 5-1 in the division) was a success. Making the playoffs was a bonus. But once you win a game in the playoffs, its officially a huge success.

Of course, there are different metrics to gauge success. You adjust the definition of success depending on where you end up. Say we had gone 9-7 and missed the playoffs, there would still be many reasons to call the season a success - the sweep of the cowboys, 4-2 in the division, 3 game improvement over the previous season, etc.

Well, I heard those figures on ESPN radio, but it does sound a little inflated. I would definitely put a 20 spot on it.

How could the odds be 100-1 now when they were 30-1 in August? I'm not questioning it, but really that doesn't make sense. We're three wins away now, whereas then, the experts were picking us as one of the worst teams in football. I guess you're better off waiting to bet. BTW, to borrow a phrase, "I'm SHOCKED, SHOCKED to find gambling going on here!"

Wait...8 teams remain....the Redskins are one of them. That would mean they have a 1 in 8 chance of winning...all other things being equal. Now, that said, the Skins have beaten the Seahawks, beaten the Bears and put up one hell of a fight against the Broncos. I'd think the odds should be no worse than 6-1. While Indy and the Pats are fine teams, we all know that the favorites don't always win the Super Bowl. No home team advantage there. Not just that I'm a Skins fan, but I wouldn't give anyone better than even odds. This team has some fight in it and I'm getting the sense that they did not come this far to lay down for anyone.

Yea statistics say we have a .5^(3)=.125 or 1/8 chance of winning the Super Bowl, but I think this radio person is calculating the way we have been playing late, homefield, etc.
