Can someone please explain to me why everyone believes the seahawks are so much better than the Skins?

After comparing the common opponents, it looks like this should be viewed by non-fans as a very even match up. I guess it is very hard for these "TV experts" to admit the Seahawks had an easy schedule and the Skins are playing ball at the same level. Take a look and voice your opinion.

Redskins Seattle

Redskins Cowboys W 14-13 W 35-7
Seattle Cowboys W 13-10

Redskins Giants L 36-0 W 35-20
Seattle Giants W 24-21

Redskins Arizona W 17-13
Seattle Arizona W 37-12 W 33-19

Redskins Rams W 24-9
Seattle Rams W 37-31 W 31-16

Redskins 49ers W 52-17
Seattle 49ers W 27-25 W 41-3

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT STAT:
Redskins 20 Seattle 17

It is going to be a game that goes all the way down to the wire no doubt about that. If you think last week was a nerve wrecker this should be even worse. I think we can win but we will have to bring our A game. I think if our Offense does not get rollin by the 2nd quarter we should come out at half time and go no huddle to pick up some yards. Just like I thought we should of done the last quarter last week. I think if we can get some turnovers on the D and avoid them on O just like last week we should be in good shape. Oh and also no big runs by Alexander.

The amazing thing is thay only scored 13 against Dallas at home. Not too impressive. The key will be turnovers. Its a boring cliche but it tells the tale. If the Redskins turn it over they lose. If they force the Seahawks to turn it over they win. (period)

I understand why the "experts" are picking the Seahawks. The Seahawks are far more consistent on offense than we are and they are 8-0 at home this season. The Seahawks also have more offensive weapons than we do (although they don't have a Santana Moss). Plus, we are traveling 2,300 miles to play the game and that trip hurts any team.

I think we have a damn good chance to win if our offense shows up, but as I said, I understand why the so called experts pick Seattle. That said, the line (Seattle -9.5) is absolutley ridiculous. If I were a betting man, I'd pick the 'Skins every day and twice on Saturday with that spread.

If the Redskins have trouble saturday it's becasue of fatigue with Seattle having 2 weeks off and the skins playing 6 playoff games in a row. On paper Seattle is just not any better than Washington. The difference in record can be explained by the skins playing the 2nd hardest schedule and the Seahawks playing the easiest. I have to believe the Redskins would have 12 or 13 wins up against Seattles schedule.

Don't forget:

Redskins Eagles W 17-10 W 31-20
Seattle Eagles W 42-0

We had much less trouble with their division than they had with ours, that is for certain. Although, we certainly took care of business in our division, too!

Is it Saturday yet?

I agree completely. Just thought that I'd add that the 'experts' are also giving Seattle the win is that the Redskins are banged up with injuries. And yea the Skins can win, but its definitely going to be a close one. All I ask for is for the Skins to not kill themselves with stupid penalties and turnovers. YOU CAN DO IT! :headbange :towel: :headbange :party-smi :towel:

turnovers and D-line play are the key. I think Hasselbeck will make a few key mistakes in the 4th quarter. Brunell is almost playing a home game-- U. Washington is just up the road from Seahawk's stadium.

Gibbs is only holding two practices this week. they had two days off after the game, and will have thursday and friday as light practices. Hopefully they will get some energy for the game. As I am not a professional athlete or trainer, I have no idea how guys mostly in their 20's can recharge with a couple days rest. I would think with the shape they are in, they can come out fine. I know if we make the Super Bowl, we will defeinetly use that bye week!
