Reasons To Think Skins Will Wingibbsisgod 01-09-2006, 06:17 PM Gonna be a tough one...offense has to score at least 21 to have a chance in this one.I THINK WE NEED CLOSER TO 30 Carnage 01-09-2006, 06:50 PM One more reason, we will take the crowd out of the game. hurrykaine 01-09-2006, 06:56 PM Seattle is suspect on kick coverage. Can you say "field position?" jrocx69 01-09-2006, 06:59 PM we need a KR first, AB is not the answer Dirtbag 01-09-2006, 07:13 PM we need a KR first, AB is not the answer We need to get Santana returning kicks. He had a TD for the Jets on a return in last year's playoffs. expatriated_in_PHX 01-09-2006, 07:35 PM we will win because 1. just like we shut down Julius Jones and Tiki Barber and Cadillac williams in the past month we will shut down Alexander. 2. We have momentum and the tenth best passing defense in the league. 3. We have, what, an 11 to one turn over ratio in the past 6 games. 4. Daniels has had 9 sacks this season and 7 of them in the last four games. 5. The linebacking core is playing excellent 6. salave'a and griffin are monsters in the middle 7. we are -4 in give-away/take-away. and that's after we were, what?, +10 earlier in the season. So in the second half of the season we are -14 , and I think it's higher, like -20. In short, we are playing some serious football and Seattle won't know what hit them. FirstandTen 01-09-2006, 11:00 PM While I agree with most of your statements, this one is a little strong. Four of the remaining coaches have Super Bowl rings, and he is one of them. And his teams are generally over .500, year in and year out. What has Homlgren done without Farve in his prime??? NADA except a few first round playoff exits... Would u rather have Homlgren or Lovie Smith calling the shots in the cluch? Id take Smith and let Homlgren and his porn mustach rot in Sea. bertoskins 01-09-2006, 11:08 PM the reason is JOE GIBBS hooskins 01-10-2006, 03:27 AM 1. Pressure on Sea to win as a 9pt fav and a team that traditionally chokes. As far as there fans are concerned, and all the media there is no way they loose. Thats a ton of pressure for an unproven, untested team. 2. Holmgren is the worst coach left in the playoff pool. 3.Our Def can stop the run. Just like NYG once tiki was taken out they fell apart. 4. Hasselbeck is 0-2 as a playoff starter. 5.Our Def is healthy as it has been in weeks. 6. After playing the league's #1 Def going against Sea's D will be like taking the donut off your baseball bat after practice swings. 7. Sea is 1-2 vs Playoff teams this season and the win was the vs NYG in the feely game. Im not counting the Indy game with the starters out. 8. We beat their ass already! But the Seahawks can use that to there advantage as well, they have lost so much that they are hungry for a playoff win, just as much as we are. The post-season record Seattle plays with definately haunts them, but they are a different and much better team this year. That being said, I like our defense in this matchup, and as mentioned above Seattle has not played well against playoff teams. The fact that we beat them this year doesn't really matter because they are a better team and they are playing at home. This time around we are a better team as well, but something needs to give in our offensive game, otherwise it will be a very, very tough game. SanFranSkinsFan 01-10-2006, 03:55 AM The key is stopping Alexander...Hopefully Griffin and Chris Samuels have some good tips on him, since they played with him at Alabama. Our D-Line is playing much better and Springs will play this week. Also, we held him under 100 yards. Their WRs will be freaking out because Sean Taylor will be "lurking" somewhere, as Marcus Washington (better than Keith Brooking and Pro Bowl snub) notes. |
