Hey, I will give credit where credit is due and say that Steve Smith has the same kind of speed and elusiveness that Moss has. It will actually be fun to watch them line-up on opposite sides of the line during the Pro Bowl. If they were on the same team it would be unfair for the rest of the league.

They're very similar players.

Matty, I had not watched any Panther games this year, until week 17th (They were the early game here in KY until the Skins came on at 3pm my time)

The Panthers also run that slip screen or WR screen to Smith and he can take it to the house like Moss does for us. One on One in open field, the first guy always misses like Santana makes guys miss. They are so similar to me. In size and shiftyness. I am glad we won't face them in the playoffs. Steve Smith is the only other receiver that would actually scare me if the Skins faced them. Even if the Panthers beat the Giants, I don't see them playing well in cold Chicago, which is their path to the NFC Championship, should they continue to win.

Speaking of Moss as I was watching the game Sunday I was trying to remember the last time Moss droped a pass. I can remember a few he could have made a great play and cought the ball but could not remember any that where just a droped pass. Can anyone remember Moss just droping a pass?

i've watched Moss in amazement all season. he's the first skins receiver i've seen since Gary Clark to catch long TD passes in stride. unfortunately, he hasn't done that since Dallas, most of the balls he's caught since then haven't been as perfectly thrown.

which leaves me amazed at his HANDS. he waits to make last minute adjustments (important in not tipping off the defender) and they're always spot on. he catches practically everything thrown in his general direction! i think i've seen Santana do his 'first down' thing more this season than i saw clutch catches from Gardner and Westbrook in god knows how many seasons!

i dunno if its the gloves or he has giant hands but i specifically remember only TWO dropped passes so far this season and it's always been in heavy traffic. i don't know if as a skinsfan i just haven't been used to seeing true receiver talent in a long time but Santana Moss is *amazing*, truly something special.

:insane:

that first giant game was one of those games you just insist never happened. there's no winning vs. the supernatural.

Sure wish we had drafted him instead of Gardner.

i think the one thing that amazes me about mr moss is that after the catch,it seems like the first defender that gets to him never gets a hand on him,no matter how close.we run that wr screen week after week and he usually just zips right by the first guy un touched

Not me! I think the years in N.Y made him the hungry WR that he is today! I would have been pissed if we drafted him only to get the same production out of him that the Jets did.
Then see another team get him and reap all the benefits like we are today.I really think Moss grew up a lot in N.Y.
Sure Spurier would have loved Moss. But he did have Coles. And in the end what did that do?

Is it Sat yet? I want Tampa!!!!!! :spank: :spank: :point:

DO they still do the Fastest Man In The NFL competition each year? Interesting to see if he'd go in for it.

I wonder if he'll be returning kicks this week, since it's a playoff game? He returned a kick for a TD last year in the Jets' playoff game against the Steelers. Also, we all know that Gibbs has done this in the past -- putting speedster Darrell Green in to return kicks during playoff games.

Then again, Antonio Brown isn't exactly slow either... :)
