What happened? offiss 01-02-2006, 06:05 AM They were just locked up with each other fighting it out in the trenches, Joe was trying to outmuscle him and Runyon threw a right cross to the head. Luxorreb 01-02-2006, 06:19 AM So he was 'giving him the business' ? Who was it that used to say that? offiss 01-02-2006, 07:10 AM So he was 'giving him the business' ? Who was it that used to say that? It was some referee, he said that on a personel foul call when he tried to explain why the penalty was called, still probably one of the funniest calls a referee has made. :laughing2 56FAN 01-02-2006, 09:13 AM runyan is a dirty player, this time he got caught. bjschmonsees 01-02-2006, 09:27 AM That play turned the game around. The team was flat and Joe's fire changed the whole mood of the game and I think helped us win! MTK 01-02-2006, 10:26 AM Runyan deserves a game ball for that boneheaded move! CooleyAsCanBe 01-02-2006, 12:37 PM I read in either the post or the times that Runyan hit Salavea under the helmet in the throat. Good thing Griffin stepped in, or Salavea might have gotten ejected. gibbs4life 01-02-2006, 12:44 PM i think that woke up the team and thanks ruyan. from that point on it was on. final 31-20 and the playoffs. saden1 01-02-2006, 12:53 PM It was some referee, he said that on a personel foul call when he tried to explain why the penalty was called, still probably one of the funniest calls a referee has made. :laughing2 Ben Dreith, NFL referee, explaining a 15-yard penalty over the intercom: "Number 99 of the defense, after tackling the quarterback, was giving him the business down there." |
