We're 5-1 in the division, the Giants are 4-2. Yeah, it's odd that the Skins have the better division record, yet the Giants still win it, but they count the overall record first.

We also have the better CONFERENCE record than the Giants. It's really ironic that they won the division. Oh, and let's not even get into the whole "extra home game" that they got from the Saints - that still burns me up how unfair that was.

This isn't college rankings (and I'm glad it isn't.) It should always be the team with the best overall record - it just makes sense. We'd probably not be arguing that point if the records and roles were reversed.

Oh, I know, and I wouldn't change anything, but it's just ironic that we have the better division and conference record. 4 of our 6 losses were to the AFC, after all.

Just wishful thinking. Happy to have a wild-card. NEXT year we'll have the division crown, right? :headbange

I sure hope so! Heck, I would've been happy with this team just having a winning record this year...so my expectations have been surpassed already!

We let our share of games slip away this year.

If we could have closed out Oakland...

If we could have closed out Denver, KC, etc.

We could play the coulda, shoulda game all night, fact is we're in the playoffs where everyone's record is now 0-0, single elimination tournament. We've been doing the win or go home thing for 5 games now, we should be well prepared!

As CrashRiley said, it's ironic that the Skins didn't win the division, but it certainly isn't unfair. That's almost crazy. The most W's wins. Anything.

That extra home game the Giants got still really steems me. I hope Paul Tagliabue is pleased with himself. I wonder if he would make the same decision to play that game in NY knowing that the Giants would go on to win the division by 1 game. Basically, he tainted an entire season just to sell a few extra tickets. The NFL has billions of dollars...why didn't they just give New Orleans the money instead of making a circus out of what was supposed to be a Saints home game?
